How are we funded?

Kingston Hospital Radio is funded entirely by charitable donations and fundraising activities.

Money is raised through sponsored activities and a series

of outside broadcasts throughout the summer.

We are totally self funded.

Can I make a donation to Kingston Hospital Radio?

We always welcome donations - large or small.

Contributions are regularly received from individuals, businesses, former patients and relatives of former patients.

What is the money used for?

All the money raised goes directly to the running of the station.

Our biggest costs are associated with equipping and maintaining our studios and outside broadcasting equipment.

Funds are also used to purchase CDs, to ensure we keep up with patients' listening habits.

Can I advertise on the station?

As a Hospital Radio service, we do not carry adverts as such.

However we have a number of sponsorship opportunities through which your company name can be promoted to our listeners.

This is arranged in return for a donation to the station's funds, or prizes for us to give away on air.
