About me- history lover in action

A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.

Hi everone. This is my personal web. About bombing Rotterdam and Hiroshima and Auschwitz Concentration Camps. They are not nice subjects. But all of them are connected with Second World War events. With Holocaust, massive deaths, tortures of civils and innocent human beings.

My name is Adonis and I’m half-  German, half- Polish. Currently I live in Rotterdam.  That’s why it’s one of the cities I would like to tell you about. Of course there were many, many cities distoryed by enemies. But I choose those three because I decided they are important to  mention because their importance.

Nowhere else in Europe Nazis did  something like Krakow Concentration Camps and Ghettos for Jewish Nation. Not to mention Forced Work Camps, where they were working in very dificult conditions and guards were torturng them and killing as entertainment.

Trying to spread knowledge about Second World War

I don’t want information about this subject be forgotten. I guess Anne Frank is much more famous than Tadeusz Borkowski, Wladyslaw Bartoszewski or Maksymilian Maria Kolbe. There are many examples of silent heroes who stayed strong in the world which forgot about being human.

I love history and in my free time I am reading books about history. I would love to share some basic information about II World War. I also travel in my free time. I would like to show you photographs and share the stories from the places I have been – Krakow, Auschwitz or Rotterdam. Reviews from books I find interesting and connected with the  subject. Same situation with the movies. I know that for some hardworking people it’s the only way to get some information. So, expect everything which will make you shocked, moved, thrilled, sad or just informed 🙂 I will leave you with a quote I hope will inspire you to read my web. Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
